Robert "Bob" Anderson Smith, 95, of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Blumenthal Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A committal service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Saint Francis Episcopal Church, with Father Milton Williams officiating. The family will receive friends following the committal in the church fellowship hall.

Robert "Bob" Anderson Smith, 95, of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Blumenthal Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Bob was born October 13, 1922 in Robinson, Illinois to the late Robert and Ruby Smith and was a long-time member of Saint Francis Episcopal Church. He was a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and was a Professional Golf Pro with the PGA. Bob was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army Air Corp., and was with the 490th bomb group, (known as the Burma Bridge Busters), was a member of the Moose Lodge, the PGA of America, and the Saint Francis Friars. He enjoyed reading about history, (especially WWII), traveling, listening to "swing music", and had every album Glen Miller ever made. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hardy Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory include his step-son, Bill Seelhorst of Greensboro; and adopted daughter, Pattie Page of Atlanta, GA.
